In the winter, it is Arizona’s premier ski and snowboard destination. With three mountains, eight lifts, including Arizona’s only high speed quad, it offers 800 acres of terrain, making it Arizona’s largest ski resort.
The resort has a fully accredited ski school, where the experienced and friendly staff is committed to helping adult and junior skiers or boarders of all levels and ages in group or private lessons.
On the mountain child care is available so that parents can relax and fully enjoy a day on the slopes. Your youngsters will be having just as much fun while you’re away. For the Cross country skiers there are over 13 miles of groomed trails. All the trails are located in the beautiful pines with several large meadows. If the summer is more your style, Sunrise Park Resort is definitely the place to be. There are many activities to enjoy such as mountain biking, hiking, scenic lift rides, fishing, and annual festivals. Or you can simply look out on some of the most beautiful land in Arizona. Some of our popular summer events include fly-fishing schools, a 3-D archery shoot, and a July 4th fireworks display over the lake. Sunrise Lake is one of the premier trout lakes in the White Mountains. The lake offers Rainbow, Brook and Apache trout.
Sunrise Park Lodge provides lodging in the winter and summer seasons. Overlooking Sunrise Lake and within minutes of the mountain, the 100-room hotel offers great dining, indoor pool, lounge and game room. At the end of each day, the Sunrise Park Lodge is the perfect place to relax and spend the evening. In the winter, the lodge offers ski and stay packages combining lift ticket, lodging and free shuttle service to and from the ski area.
Some of Sunrise’s other amenities include the Sunrise RV Park and Sunrise Campground. The RV Park is located at the entrance of the Resort. There are 20 spaces available, each providing a 30 amp electrical hook up. Spaces are available for rent during both the summer and winter months. The Sunrise Campground, which is also located at the entrance of the Resort, is a primitive campground in the quiet pines away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are approximately 200 sites which can accommodate anything from a tent to large motor homes.
