Many families and friends are still hooked on an American tradition in this tough recession, treating themselves to their favorite dessert: ICE CREAM!!! Exit Light rail stop #21 (Mill Ave) and travel south on Mill Ave – just two short blocks, you will discover Sparky’s Old Town Creamery is affordable and delicious! Why so scrumptious? – Everyday Sparky’s makes their Ice Cream from fresh real cream brought in from a local Arizona dairy! Sure it is more costly, but customers tell me they really appreciate the fresh ingredients and fruits!
Sparky’s Creamery is known for their 16 Ice Cream Flavors. Of course sampling is encouraged before devouring your selection! Ice Cream “purest” get a cup while others have their ice cream mixed on a traditional marble stone with their favorite toppings combined in a freshly baked waffle cone or waffle bowl. Creating unique Artisan flavors, well let’s say, has been the added “spark” to Sparky’s. Why bake a cake in this heat, enjoy Ice Cream BIRTHDAY CAKE, CARROT CAKE, CHEESE CAKE or GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE to name a few…. Those with a little venture, will want to try DARK CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY HABANERO (ice cream with heat – whoa baby!) My sweet tooth left me wanting more of the NUTTER BUTTER (Nutter Butter Cookies, Marshmallow Cream and Peanut Butter) until I settled in on combining two Sorbets in one large yummy cone: ITALIAN KISS (Amaretto & Black Raspberries) and ORANGE POMEGRANATE, super cool and fruity fantastic! A fantastic evening is polishing off a yummy Sparky cone sitting at their outside patio under the beautiful tree-lined street! Or…for those watching their calories, yes folks you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find Sparky’s Self-Serve LOW FAT Yogurt, Fruit Smoothis, Coffee Drinks & More! Everyone in the family can have their delicious choice!
This past year Sparky’s also added “Value Menu Deals” featuring home-made Ice Cream Bars, Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich, Smoothie, 1 Scoop Sundae or Root beer Float. A tad bit smaller, the “Deals” feature the same delicious home-made great taste!
